THE BLOODHOUND
First-time director Patrick Picard brings a chilly precision to this present-day adaptation of Edgar Allan Poe’s “The Fall Of The House of Usher”.
Francis (Liam Aiken) receives an unexpected invitation to go and stay with old friend JP (Joe Adler) and his ailing sister Vivian (Annalise Basso). Rather than a dilapidated gothic pile, the twins live in a clean, bright, ultra-modern mansion – but right from the start it’s clear that something is wrong. Vivian is rarely seen, JP’s distracted, and there seems to be another presence lurking in the shadows. Soon the lines between dreams and reality start to blur.
