REx tech of axed Fusilier may have a useful future
A FOUR-MONTH FACTORY shutdown would have done for many other infant car makers in Ineos’s position. But production will restart next month (p15), much to the relief of CEO Lynn Calder, who is not at all defeatist or downbeat when she says making cars is “really hard”.
Ineos will now ramp up towards its annual goal of 30,000 Grenadier 4x4 and Quartermaster pick-up models in its chosen global markets. Recent additions include China and Mexico as well as an expansion to new states in its largest market, the US.
