ENGINEERS have begun a six-month project to repair the four piers of Redbridge Viaduct on the Borders Railway and protect them from further erosion.
The sandstone bridge over the River Tweed between Tweedbank and Galashiels was built in 1849. Preparation for the £2.4 million project began in April and is scheduled to finish in October.
