ARCHAELOGISTS working for HS2 have discovered almost 900 years of history at the former St Mary’s Church in Stoke Mandeville, Buckinghamshire.
The original church in Stoke Mandeville was built in 1080AD and renovated in the 13th, 14th and 17th centuries before being demolished and largely forgotten after it was replaced by a new church in the 1880s.
