FOLLOWING the Government’s mid-May confirmation that the majority of indoor venues could reopen to the public, exhibition spaces at Crich Tramway Village began welcoming visitors once again from May 17.
Vehicles have been reorganised in order to improve displays and continue restoration projects. Workshop space is being cleared for Brush Blackpool Railcoach 298, which has been stored off-site. Its new underframe, being constructed at the Ffestiniog & Welsh Highland Railways’ Boston Lodge Works, will be mounted temporarily on accommodation trucks which originate from the long since scrapped Blackpool 638.
