WITH Keir Starmer’s director of communications Matthew Doyle jumping ship after just nine months in Downing Street, the PM is rearranging his spads.
To replace Doyle he is promoting one James Lyons, a former head of policy comms for TikTok in Europe – where he tried to persuade governments not to regulate the irresponsible Chinese social media giant. But he is also hiring some new special advisers from the world of lobbying.
