VE DAY
The celebrations continue

MAY 8th will go down in history forever as the day peace broke out. Finally, following a long and bitter conflict, Nick Robinson and Emma Barnett declared a ceasefire. The BBC announced the news, calling it “VE Day”, Victory over Emma. Crowds gathered in Trafalgar Square, many of them jumping into fountains at the welcome news that hostilities between Nick and Emma were finally at an end. Soldiers kissed complete strangers, policemen danced with nurses, and even the Queen snuck out in disguise to join her people in celebrating the most extraordinary historic occasion, perhaps having a crafty shandy (surely triple gin) and… (That’s enough VE Day, Ed.)
