GET YOUR RUNNING BACK ON TRACK
Coronavirus has upset everyone’s routines, be they work, school or fitness habits. It’s time to get back on it
Words: Laura Fountain
There are times when, as much as we might love it, running falls off the list of priorities or is just too diffi cult to make happen. And that’s okay. Running will always be there and it should take stress away from your life, not add to it.
If you’ve had a bit of a hiatus from training over the past month or two, now is the time to get back on track. But don’t put too much pressure on yourself to be setting PBs any time soon. Now is the time to enjoy your running and reignite your passion for it.
Always focus on form over speed and if you can’t maintain good form, stop the exercise and have a rest
ESTABLISHING A NEW ROUTINE
We’re all trying to navigate a new normal right now, and so old habits and routines might not work for you at the moment. Maybe you used to run to work as part of your commute, but working from home has put a stop to that. Finding the times and days that you can run and trying to make them a new habit is not only going to benefi t your running, but give you a sense of stability and structure to your week.
