is accustomed to backing campaigns for years or even decades if that’s what it takes. But the fight to convince Ofsted to stop branding autistic children as would-be terrorists may have been won rather sooner.
It appears the education inspectorate may have bowed to commonsense and realised that such profiling is dangerous bunkum. The climbdown follows a campaign led by TV naturalist Chris Packham, who has spoken about his mental health crisis driven by prejudice against his autism, and early years author Dr Mine Conkbayir (Eye 1654).
