Chloe Steele is preparing to release a new CD.
Chloe Steele, from South Uist, is to release a five-track CD of pipe tunes and Gaelic song. Her CD will be launched at this year’s Eilean Dorcha Festival on Saturday July 28 and will be available for download on all platforms. Chloe demonstrates a natural gifiin singing and piping and is in her third year studying for a BA Applied Music through the University of the Highlands and Islands. Her passion and love for traditional music has grown enormously, as Chloe takes inspiration from her homeland and the traditional culture and heritage she has grown up with. Chloe said she wants to keep traditional music alive and has made an impact within her community through her music, tutoring and volunteering. Chloe’s CD includes some of her own compositions, one of which has already received 79,000 hits on Facebook. She is an ambitious, determined and hard-working young lady who has the potential to thrive in the music industry. Chloe performed twice this year at Celtic Connections and supported a range of high-profile musicians. She is grateful for the support and encouragement she has received and said she wanted to thank MacInnes Bros Ltd, Lochboisdale Hotel and Kildonan Museum for their backing and funding.
