JUDGE DREAD
ROBERT JENRICK dug into his dressing-up box at last week’s Conservative party conference to produce a judge’s wig and waggle it about.
“When a judge dons their wig, it signifies a transition from their everyday personality and identity to that of a legal arbiter,” he declared. “It’s a visual representation of the judge’s role as an unbiased mediator, focused solely on upholding the law and delivering justice. An unbiased mediator: that is what a judge should be.”
