GKN extends P&W contract
GKN Aerospace has won a fiveyear extension to its existing engine repair contract covering critical fan blade repairs for Pratt & Whitney and International Aero Engines (IAE) V2500 powerplants through to 2029. The work is being performed at GKN’s facilities in San Diego, California and Johor in Malaysia.
Commenting on the extended partnership, Gerald Coste, senior vice-president of repair solutions at GKN Aerospace Engines, said: “This extended agreement is a strong vote of confidence in the value, reliability and global capability of GKN Aerospace’s repair solution. We’re proud to continue supporting Pratt & Whitney and its affiliates around the world with industry-leading MRO services.”
