OBAN RNLI lifeboat launched on Thursday afternoon (May 17) to a vessel in diffculty off Easdale island.
The Mora Edith MacDonald was requested to launch at 12.58pm to help a 68ft converted fishing vessel with two people aboard that had fouled its propeller one nautical mile south of Easdale island.
The Oban lifeboat left her berth at 1.06pm with seven crew on board. As the lifeboat proceeded, it became clear that the casualty vessel had been assisted by another vessel in the area, and no longer needed the lifeboat.
