BUSINESSES, schools and organisations in Lochaber are being urged to join a new campaign to make Fort William a Fairtrade town, writes Neill Bo Finlayson.
Lochaber businesswoman Sasha McKinlay is bidding to secure Fairtrade status for the town and has launched a campaign to garner support locally.
She said: ‘Achieving Fairtrade status for a town or area is one way of raising awareness of the importance of Fairtrade in the community as well as to encourage more organisations and businesses to support a fair supply chain every day.’
