A LOCHABER community council chairman is threatening to start bypassing Highland Council officials and to deal directly with the Scottish Government on local issues after the Scottish Public Services Ombudsman said it could not investigate a complaint, writes Mark Entwistle.
Spean Bridge, Roy Bridge and Achnacarry Community Council had asked the ombudsman to investigate Highland Council’s decision not to allow the community council to make a collective application to the local authority’s Discretionary Ward Fund.
