POST OFFICE
Dead losses
AHEAD of what should be an awkward time before the Commons business select committee for leading executives from Fujitsu and the Post Office (due as the

went to press), the latter has revealed yet more alarming under-performance.
The public body grappling to find a viable future made a trading loss of £12m in 2024/25, down from a profit of £22m the previous year and accounted for by falls in income from retail, government (such as passport services) and financial services. The latter have long been touted as the body’s best hope for survival, but income from the sector fell £33m (14 percent).
