GNOME CINEMA
AVATAR: Fire and Ash
is the first film directed by James Cameron in nearly three decades that isn’t expected to be a flop. Since 1991, Cameron has gone all in on every film, betting someone else’s house on projects acknowledged or rumoured to be the most expensive ever made.
The Schwarzenegger action films Terminator 2 and True Lies were relatively safe bets but Titanic and the first two Avatar films were so expensive few believed they would break even, let alone become three of the four biggest grossing films of all time.
