IN ITS enthusiasm to ramp up housebuilding, the government is set to strip Sport England of its right to be told about plans to develop on playing fields.
Just days remain to object to removing Sport England and several other expert bodies, including the Theatres Trust and Gardens Trust, from the list of statutory consultees on planning permission, which must be given an opportunity to object to plans in their bailiwick.
