MULTI-academy trust paid its founders more than £1m in consultancy fees and to lease offices from them, according to a long overdue report from the Education and Skills Funding Agency (ESFA).
The Griffin Schools Trust also spent £2,429 on “purchase of antique furniture, soft furnishings, ornaments and artwork”, which ESFA described as “novel and contentious”.
