LAMPPOST TRUTH
RESIDENTS near a huge warehouse in Corby were astonished when work began on a massive development seemingly out of nowhere. It turned out North Northamptonshire council had granted planning permission, but planning officers had mistakenly posted consultation notices on lampposts and sent letters about the application to residents on a street half a mile away.
