Can EE refuse a new SIM after axing 3G?
Q I use a very old Samsung GT-S5230 quad-band phone (pictured) with EE and wonder if I’ll still be able to use it when EE switches off 3G. My local EE shop said I can still use it for texting, but not internet access. I asked Giffgaff, which piggybacks on EE, but it said it won’t work. I need to retain my phone number because I’m 86, but EE won’t give me a new SIM. Can it refuse?
