Convert a private Facebook group to public
Running a Facebook group can be a great way to keep your club’s members connected and informed. And it can also be a useful tool for attracting new members – just as long as it’s not at the expense of your existing community’s privacy.
Until recently, Facebook made you choose between making your group private and keeping everything behind closed doors, or making it public and exposing all past posts, discussions and members’ content to the world. Now, however, Facebook has introduced tools that let you convert a private group to a public one while keeping older content protected. This means anything posted while the group was private (including comments and reactions) remains visible only to those who were members at the time.
