MICROSOFT OUTLOOK
Make new emails appear in separate windows
By default, when you click to open a new email in the latest Outlook (released in 2024) it appears in the same pane that’s already open (this is called an ‘inline view’). You can change this so new emails appear in a new window. Click ‘View’ at the top then ‘View settings’ followed by ‘Compose and reply’ ( 1 in our screenshot). Scroll down to the ‘Pop-out settings’ section then select ‘Pop-out to a new window’ 2 and click Save. When you open a new email (or reply or forward one) it’ll now appear in a new window 3 .
