ACCORDING to recently published government research on English attitudes to new transport technologies, there’s strong public “net support” (89 percent of people surveyed) for the use of drones for emergency response, such as search and rescue. But people are rather less keen on drones being used to rush consumer goods to homes: net support for “retail use (package delivery)” was only 7 percent in the same survey.
