IN THE two years before her entirely avoidable death in December 2023 on a railway line just 13 days after her 18th birthday, vulnerable Nonita Grabovskyte was let down by every service charged with keeping her safe and well.
She fell through one gap after another in the UK’s broken care system and was abandoned by children’s mental health services as she approached adulthood, despite repeated hospitalisations, suicide attempts and foretelling how she planned to die at 18 when she was no longer so closely supervised.
