lobal outrage when the Taliban took power, but the systematic crushing of one group of people by another has become less shocking the longer it has gone on. Maybe this explains the muted response last month when Pakistan became the fourth country to exchange diplomats with the Taliban.
Pakistani foreign minister Mohammad Ishaq Dar said Pakistan-Afghanistan relations were on a “positive trajectory” and the exchange would “maintain this momentum”. It’s a trajectory some other countries are already on.
