IN RECENT years we have mistakenly given the impression that it was acceptable for Tory ministers such as Chris Philp to go to the dispatch box and blame the record number of small boats crossings on the good weather. This despite the fact the Labour opposition called such explanations pathetic grasping at straws from an administration that has lost control of our borders.
