ROGUE ZEROES
“Now, the final prayer shall be read... in the style of a film noir detective”

reviewer Ben Macintyre told readers that the film strayed from historical fact in numerous ways. The “main problem”, he wrote, is that it “depicts the British retreat from France in 1940 as a bloodbath” when “only about 3,500 men died”.
“There are plenty of nits to pick in this film,” Macintyre continued, listing the incorrect altitude of aerial combat, the slow sinking time of a Spitfire, the exaggerated importance of the civilian ships in the evacuation, and even the wrong colour of a Messerschmitt’s nose cone.
