A councillor has appealed for rural areas of Argyll and Bute to have lighting repairs carried out more quickly as the winter nights draw in.
Councillor Alastair Redman (Kintyre and the Islands) claimed at last week’s meeting of the council’s environment, development and infrastructure committee that it took six months to get lights repaired in some areas.
Jim Smith, head of roads and amenity services, stated that some faulty street lights require more than the changing of a bulb.
