Scottish Opera’s muchloved Opera Highlights will again be taking to the road early next year, with four singers and a pianist travelling to 18 venues across Scotland from Ayrshire to the Western Isles.
Opening in East Kilbride, the Opera Highlights performers will go on to visit Ardfern, Gairloch, Barra, Benbecula, and Tarbert (Isle of Harris), before bringing the tour to a close in Paisley on March 16.
Sara Brodie will direct a programme of works by composers from across the centuries, from Handel and Gluck, to Mozart, Verdi, Britten and Bernstein, carefully curated by Scottish Opera’s head of music, Derek Clark.
