WOMEN’S RUGBY
Lochaber rugby player Katie Dougan added to her international caps total last month as she played an important role in the autumn test series. In last week’s coverage of the recent Scotland v Canada match in the Lochaber Times, we omitted to mention that Katie Dougan was in the provisional squad for that match.
The 23-year-old prop forward, who now plays for RHC Cougars and University of Edinburgh, made an appearance from the bench against Italy at Calvisano (Sunday November 4) in the first of the autumn tests to bring her total cap haul to 11. Dougan was unable to prevent Scotland losing to Italy for the second time in 2018 after their 38-0 defeat.
