Dunbeg has got its post office back. Village Store co-owner Murray Young retired from the Post Office side of the business three weeks go which meant the counter had to shut temporarily.
But the counter opened again last week when Lorna MacLennan from Taynuilt Post Office took it on as a ‘pop-up’.
Mrs MacLennan will be there 9am to 1pm on a Monday, Tuesday and Friday. Even when the counter is not open, people can still pay bills and top up their phones said Mr Young, who will keep running the general store with his business partner Willie Dunlop. Mrs MacLennan said: ‘I’m looking forward to getting to know new faces.’
